Every day we get up and hope for one thing: That today is going to be that day, the day when everything works the way we expect it to. And when it does, we feel powerful, happy, meaningful.

And when it doesn't, we feel frustrated, stressed and even, after a while, resentful. In fact we almost immediately become not such nice people and we don't feel very useful. It sucks really.

It's not rocket science to understand why this is the case. Having our natural expectations met, makes us happy; it is an intoxicating and motivating experience. We come alive.
