Executing

"Cleanliness makes it easier to see the details." - Aniekee Tochukwu

People with strong Discipline talents thrive in an organized and orderly environment.

If you need something organised precisely, then call me. I love creating structure and order out of chaos. Some may call me a "neat freak" or even OCD but I simply cannot understand how people function in a mess or are even messy themselves. For me, structure creates order and order allows for optimal effectiveness. Once things are organised correctly, I create rules to ensure that the organisation stays in place and that optimal functionality continues.

Key Words Structured, organised, efficient, neat, precise, timely

MY unique TALENT

MY SUPerpower

Precision

MY instinctive Ability

Discipline describes the natural ability to generate order in your environment as a means to ensure productivity, accuracy and effectiveness.

The drive I naturally bring

You bring an unrelenting desire to see a high level of organization and order in your environment. You naturally take responsibility for ensuring that a system is in place that guarantees precise outcomes. You love ensuring that people then follow that system.

What can I naturally create?

You create the necessary structure that ensures people know what to do in any given situation - you create the rules. You empower people to be great at what they do by preventing disorder from causing inefficiencies and complications. You build processes and generate the rules that, if followed, people can trust to deliver precise outcomes.

MANAGING MY EXPECTATIONS

I like...

Structure, order, rules, systems and anything that ensures that a deadline is met in an ordered and accurate manner;

being precise in everything I do.

I connect easily to people who...

Are neat, structured and organized and who appreciate that things need to be done in a certain way;

have an appreciation for following the rules.

I am NOT known for...

Enjoying working in a mess or looking messy;

enjoying last minute changes that could result in chaos;

being disorganized.

I get frustrated or distressed when...

I can do nothing about the chaos that surrounds me;

the rules/processes are ill defined;

people do not put things back where they belong.

I can be perceived by some people as...

Controlling and a neat freak, or obsessive about how i want things.

how best to work with me:

Allow me to create the structures and processes I need to ensure everything is under control;

Please do not interfere with or disrespect these processes;

Be prepared and organised, don't leave things to the last minute.

BEING MORE EFFECTIVE

know this:

You find ways to organize yourself to get things done on time.

You tend to place yourself in productive environments.

You create order and structure where it is needed.

Some people may label you as compulsive or a control freak because of your ability to discipline yourself and structure your world. But these attributes make you productive — often more so than your critics.

try this:

Direct your energy to build structure and keep the right things organized.

Seek out roles and responsibilities where structure exists and is appreciated.

Don't hesitate to check as often as necessary to ensure that tasks and projects are completed in the right way and on time. You feel an urge to do it anyway, and soon enough others will begin to expect it of you.

Learn how to use a time-management system. It will make you even more efficient and give you more confidence.

Create routines that help you follow through systematically. Share your detailed lists of tasks, goals, and timelines with your colleagues. It will help the entire group become more efficient.

Help others add order to their lives. If you do it in a gentle and respectful way, and a useful way, they will appreciate it.

Recognize that not many people are as disciplined as you. More than likely, their clumsy or messy processes will frustrate you. Try to assess them on their results, not on their methods.

Facing your personal challenge:

You are a neat freak and your constant desire for structure can sometimes be out of touch with a world that is naturally chaotic and disorganised. Knowing when structure is needed and when it is not will be key to your happiness.

Watch out for: Feeling that rules and structure apply in all things. You can choke the life out of something that way.
