The more themes a person has in this domain (within their Top 10) the more sensitive they will be to the way people behave and so will be very aware of culture issues within a team.
People who have dominant Relationship Building themes intuitively know that "together we are more". They intuitively appreciate that people need each other for support, encouragement, celebration and partnership; they understand the power that comes from being together.
But they also understand that togetherness is a function of trustworthiness and that trust can be both won or lost (trust points). Trustworthiness is created through a mix of authenticity and emotional safety. Authenticity is being who you say you are, while Emotional Safety is about providing emotional support while ensuing that personal vulnerabilities are not exposed or used against anyone. Once both these conditions are present, the ability to communicate openly is then possible.
Each Signature theme in this domain has a particular talent to engage with and support others :
Adaptability (your ability to remain unaffected by the emotional state of others)
Harmony (your ability to sense the emotional volatility of another)
Empathy (your ability to sense the emotional burden of another);
Developer (your ability to sense that another person needs encouragement);
Connectedness (your ability to sense the ability for another to be vulnerable);
Includer (your ability to be accepting of others regardless of who they are);
Positivity (your ability to see the best in people)
Relator (your ability to sense the authenticity of another person and to be loyal);
Individualization (your ability to understand who the nuances of who someone is)
People with very low or no relationship themes in their top 10 do not function like this and tend to be far more transactional in the way they deal with people.
